Week of September 11

Morning Messages are rich with literacy and math learning.

This week we did a lot of reading and working with the alphabet.

We made our own chickachicka boom boom trees.

We started work board this week.

It's Apple season.

Apple sequencing.

Number work.

Tuned into morning message work.

This is a great recipe for play dough. Always a fun family activity to make and then play with the dough. Enjoy!

Working on whole body self portraits.

Working with five frame, a wonderful math tool.

We read this book in the outdoor classroom, surrounded by CCS sunflowers and other garden delights.

Exploring triangles...

...we can make anything with shapes.

Like these sunflowers.

This activity takes patience, perseverance...

...and precision.

Put them together and we have a beautiful quilt.

Counting bugs.

Exploring numbers and quantities.

Building quantities

Spill Five Beans: numeral writing practice and combinations of 5.

This month we are learning out shapes and their attributes.

On Friday we created with shapes.

Have a wonderful weekend!
